Well were out looking for a SUV for Chris and we are getting nowhere. Uhh!!! This sucks!

Home sick

So Hunter and I are home sick. I just got back from picking him up at school. Since I have nothing else to do at the moment I'm going to discuss some amazeball books that have come out or are coming out.

First book is Forever You're Mine by K. Langston

Corn dogs!!!

Corn dogs for dinner the other night. 

Evie got to try them until Chris realized they had honey in them and took them away. 

Hunter is just a freaking weirdo eating his corn dog. 

And yeah. I did it. Took a picture of Chris eating one as well. 

As for me. I think they are disgusting and don't eat them at all. Yuck!!

Boo for today

So it's 2:39pm and I'm home already. Not supposed to be out of work until 4:30pm but I got a call from daycare saying Evie is sick. So I picked her up at 9:30am and dropped her off to my stepfather TJ to watch until I could finish the important stuff at work, because yes he too is sick. So I left work at 11:30am and have been spending the day with my cranky little monster. Poor thing has an upset tummy and keeps going #2. 

Right now she's sleeping so I was finishing up a book I started reading on the kindle. It's called Skater Boy by Kay Manis. It was pretty good for the first book in a two part series. You know. Not bad for a free book. Anywho, it's about Rory and Hindley who are opposites of each other and don't know how to trust. You pretty much know why Rory is the way he is but I'm guessing you get more of Hindley's background in the next one. Rory is a professional skateboarder trying to get back on top after fucking it all up and Hindley is the drunk attorney he ended up taking care of at the bar. She becomes his attorney and agent making having sex with him a big no-no.  I'm debating if I'd actually want to pay to read the rest. Who knows, maybe. I'll have to see.

Going out shopping

Hey everybody. I'm currently in the backseat of my mom's friend's car, on my way to Savers. I get to get some new clothes today. Also get to look at the books. Savers has the best deals on books ever. Buy 4, get 1 free. Needless to say that my book collection has like tripled since I started going there. 

Anyways I'm super excited to be getting some new clothes. I really need things that I'm more comfortable with since I'm fat since having my baby girl. I'm sure I could lose the weight if I wasn't so tired and lazy by the end of the day.

On a side note I said that I would explain the Missie. Where I work there are two Melissas and we have both known each other since we were like four. Anyways she's worked there for about a year longer than I have so when I started they asked me to come up with a nickname to go by. I decided on Missie because it is close enough to my name. So for 40 hours a week I feel like I have an alter ego being that no one has ever called me Missie before working there. 

So being called Missie is kind of interesting and fun. I decided to bring my alter ego to my blog.

Howdy...

Hello. What's going on? I'm currently trying to get my daughter to go to bed so I figured what the hell and started myself a new blog. Yes, I already have one but that is for books. Not that books are like my favorite thing. And I am sure I'll talk about them on here as well. But this one will also be about my life, what's going on in it, and about the things I like, such as music and hiking. Especially books.

Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Melissa. I'm currently 30 years old. I live in my mother's basement with my husband Chris, my son Hunter, and my daughter Evangeline. Chris and I have been together for ten years, married for five of them. Hunter is 8 years old and will be 9 next month. Evangeline will be one in April.

Let's see what else about me. Oh yeah! I absolutely love to read books. Prolly to the point that I read at least three a week. I tend to read mostly romance novels. Come on. Who doesn't like a hot steamy sex scene. Anyway, as I was saying. I love to read. Some of my favorite authors are K. Langston, Tamsyn Bester, Lynsay Sands, Diana Palmer.

Besides reading, which I sometimes do, I love hiking with my family and friends and listening to music. I listen to just about a little of everything. I like country, rock, metal, pop, a little rap (mostly dance rap, like Flo Rida and Pitbull), and some good old 90s R&B. I will definitely be posting the lyrics to some of my favorite songs, or just the ones stuck in my head, on here.

Well Evangeline's asleep so I'm going to go for now. Got to put her in the crib so I can spend some time with Hunter and Chris.
